The Reaction of Environmental Groups to the Government's Climate Policy
Greens leader Adam Band conceded that it would only stop half of new fossil fuel projects. Bob Brown, for example, quit the Australian Conservation Foundation on the basis they were encouraged in the Greens to wave through the government policy. So I guess it comes down to a pragmatic decision. Do you get a bit of what you want? Or do you plan yourself and say, no, we're going to knock back the government's proposal?
