The Chief Justice's Decision on Separation of Powers
Chief Justice Roberts has perhaps less power to act unilaterally in the space than I think a lot of folks assume. That's not to excuse anything he said. He has a bully pulpit that he has chosen not to use. The chief is actually now stuck between agreeing that a lot of these recent events paint the court in a terrible light, and not wanting to see it even one inch of real estate back to Congress.
