The Importance of Feelings

I think it's true, people vote for two reasons: They vote for their self-interest and they vote based on their feelings. I don't ever approach voters from either a partisan or an ideological point of view. When I am able to get that statue to vote for a Democrat, it often is a matter of me pointing out that the Republican is not such a good person to vote for in terms of their self- interest.
