Tuberculosis started to get people thinking we shouldn't be spitting on things. So there was all these like anti-spitting campaigns and stuff. And now you don't have public spatoons. Though there was once a kid behind me in a movie theater who was spitting his dip into the loudest possible object, which was the small open end of a Coke can.
