How to Film on a Soccer Field
"The pitch is so sacred that I got to the field for the text scout. And they said, you can't bring any equipment on this field," says director Ted Lassor. "So along with the cinematographer and the key grip, I came up with this idea of a three-wheeled tricycle-like vehicle [that] was not motor operated but that two grips in soccer cleats could run with." It's light enough that it wouldn't touch the pitch or hurt the pitch at all if remotely controlled from the sidelines by an operator. That's how all the soccer scenes inTed Lassor shot.
