Opposition, You Have a Responsibility to Take a National View

As an opposition, we have two functions. One function is obviously to disagree with the government and hold them to account. The other thing is that we have a responsibility to take a national view beyond the parties and what's in the national interest. I might be member ofthe liberal party, but i'm also an australians. And so if you are playing a constructive role wit opposition, you can call on the government to do things which you know they're going to have to do anyway.
