The Origins of Train of Four Targets
The first train of four target that people seem to settle out on was about 0.7. So I think some of this comes from the early studies by Ali in particular in the early 1970s. At a ratio of 0.74, they thought things were, quote, adequate, acceptable.
In this part II or II series on neuromuscular blockade, we investigate the claim that a train-of-four target of 90% is important to achieve prior to extubation.
