The Battle of Stalingrad

The Last Letters from Stalingrad is about a pianist whose fingers were broken. The book was written in the 1990s, just after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Luba's cousin Ian Moscow suggested she work on it with him and his wife Artemis. She had no idea how long this four-year job would take her - but decided to go for it. It has now been published by Simon & Schuster at an estimated cost of £30million.
