Hyper inflation refers to a situation where the price of goods and services rise uncontrollably over a defined period of time in general. The term is used when the rate of inflation increases more than 50% a month. Even if you look at a smaller measure of money supply a 50% increase could easily push Bitcoin from 500 billion to a couple of trillion dollars.
