What Are the Features of Temporal Lobe Seizures?
I wondered if for me, you could talk us through some of the key characteristics that we see in temporal lobe seizures. The main features that we see are loss of awareness is common, automatism is a common, and auras are common. And so the kind of auras that patients might describe with temporal lobe seizures include epigastric auras, psychic auras, gestatory and olfactory auras, and sometimes somatosensory auras. If a patient describes an auditory aura, either a simple auditory Aura or a complex auditory then this would point to a seizures.
