Betty's New Boyfriend, Ike, Tells the Police
Mack told police that he had driven Betty home after play practice on the evening of the 20th, and that he dropped her off at her front door around 8.30 p.m. The more Mack talked, the more the interviewing officers noticed inconsistencies in his story. After about 45 minutes of additional questioning downtown, Mack finally broke down and admitted to killing Betty. He said, there is no motive. I think I'm crazy.
