Since 1988, China has doubled its forest coverage and planted more new trees than the rest of the world combined. From 2016 to 2018, EV sales in China jumped from 1% to 5%. They reached 20% in 2022, three years ahead of schedule. As of 2022, 98% of all electric, electric buses in the world were deployed in Chinese cities. In 2007, China had virtually no HSR. Today, if they'd all been placed in one line, China's high speed railways wrap around the circumference of the earth.
