He never got to build it because he was involved in a mysterious plane crash that became the most expensive rescue effort in modern history. No one's killed a sub full of people in decades. James Cameron started reaching out and being like, Hey, I don't know about this feels like it. It might be not the best idea ever but rush ignores them.
