If it's not psychosocial a lot of the athletes you come to see me have problems with that sensory motor or neuromuscular control. Now what's really fascinating is you can have an athlete who seems to pass or your strength measures, you know, your resisted testing is great. But when you look at that prone cuff joint active versus joint passive and you look at the test you see some real deficiencies in that force production curve. Those things are really valuable because one they validate to the athlete why they've still got symptoms and importantly highlight things that we can work on but for me they're also very simple things that I can re measure.
