EUS GBD With Lambs in Patients With Colonosistitis
In a multi-centered, open-labeled randomized control trial by TIO at all, 80 non-surgical candidates with grade 2 and 3 acute colosistitis underwent EUS GPT using lambs. The gallbladder is then punctured, dilated, and a tranzmural stent over a guide wire is inserted. This results in gallbladder patency, drainage, and stone elimination. It was associated with reduced post-procedural pain scores and analgesic requirements.
