The way aliens work could be very different, but we still live in the same universe with the same underlying physical things happening. Arik Kirschenbaum: I have a strong suspicion that the central pieces of physics developed by aliens are going to be the same as those developed by us. He says there's no reason just to say I'm going to measure the position so accurately that I have to include velocities greater than light. "All you have to do is include momentum that are very, very big in your uncertainty," he adds.
