It's impossible to tell, even if you're the founder at that stage, if something is going to take off or not. And a huge part of that is really luckit's chance. The thing i would optimize for was, do i enjoy out with these people and working with them? Like, are they smart people? Are they kind? Are they people i would be happy being friends with? A lot of it is about the journey and the people you do it with. This used to be true back in the day with coved and remote work, less so now.
