Did You Do That When You Found Out That Alfred Briefly Had a Long Affair?
Alfred Briefly had an affair with Florence Maybrick and fathered several children with other mistresses. The couple stayed at the Palace Hotel in March 1889, which is when Alfred's fight with Mrs. Samuelson really ramped up. A slew of hotel staff members testified that they had all booked a married couple named Mr. and Mrs. Maybrick for many stays during this time. They were asked to identify who he was on the stand but it took them until June 5th before they could do so. Inquest into his death heard how spectators groaned after hearing about their friend's decades-long affair.
