The Blackness of Christ by Kelly Brown Douglas
The book is titled the black christ by doctor kelly brown douglas. As a young girl, it was jesu's birth in a manger that held the most meaning for me. That he was born in the starkness of a manger allowed me to feel connected to him as a child. Inasmuch as the cross reflects the crucifying realities of a white supremacis culture, the blackness of christ is about more than a white, black color line. Rather, it is about the color line of white supremacy.
