Jason Johnson: REITs solve the kind of like local knowledge problem in real estate. He says they allow investors from anywhere into the world to buy boring, predictable assets. The Internet may serve these landlords as much as the landlords serve the Internet, he says.Johnson: If the Internet is fully capitalist to the core, then I think we really need to take seriously that all of our user experiences may just be a line in a spreadsheet.
