Cradilla: A 1.25 Billion Dollar Unicorn

A consortium of private equity players BPEA, EQT and Chris Capital are taking Cradilla off HDFC's hands. That makes the education loan company a nearly 1.25 billion dollar unicorn. As of FY21, nearly 40 million Indian students were enrolled in higher education courses across UG, PG and Diploma programs.
