We're more than 90% in our genams, recent african origin. But these extra little bits are added on from neandertals, from denisovens. Even they in africa were doing a little bit of breeding with homosapians. We got a kind of quick fix to our immune system and picked up some of their natural fences forty or 50 thousand years ago. Now it is also linked with some auto immune diseases. So its kind of swings round about that this into breeding can give you benefits in terms of picking up lost diversity. It may be useful, but it also may have some side effects which aren't so good.
