Some video games that have really predatory psychological structures do essentially what you're saying. They do this intermittent like maybe this time you'll get this this reward. And wouldn't you know it that incentivizes people to log in more and spend more money, which is what some companies want. But if we look at a game where I have to pay $60 for a Mario game, they can't then make you in being a gambling loop because you'd never pay $60for a game.
