About 150 million Americans have less than a thousand dollars in savings, 115 million of them report living paycheck to paycheck. About a third of the US adult population lacks access to traditional forms of credit. And I think the reason that the two-week pay cycle is really out of date and creates a problem is because that segment of the population does not have the ability to absorb unexpected expenses.
