The Basics of Mental Illness
When it comes to people with serious mental illness, many of whom are incarcerated or homeless or just not thriving, we tend to forget this. Are they lonely, or are they cut off? Do they have some one who cares about them, and someone whom they care about? Credibly important for recovery. And the point i'm trying to make in the book is that's not rocket science. We can do that. A club house does that. That we have everything we need to help these people who, to day, are really our untouchables. As president kennedy said in 19 63, he said, they remain alien to our affections. Well, we can fix that
