Is the Numera Worm Really Long?

Worms usually only grow to be 5 to 10 millimeters, but there are some specimen that are definitely about 100 feet long. The 180 foot worm reported in Scotland in 1864 has drawn a little bit of scrutiny because this worm is extremely stretchy and could easily be stretched by external forces. They produce a thick, toxic slime that allegedly smells like sewage and can kill crabs. So the slimy Numera worm isn't real.
