The Meaning of Words and Metaphors
Every language has its own word for horse. When you say the word dog, we've all collectively agreed that when I make that sound sense with my mouth or when I write it down with letters, we're aware of a concept of dog ness. But there's nothing inherent about that. And so metaphor and stuff is very much bound up with the meaning of words as well.
