You Can Be Anybody You Want on the Page
When you try it on on the page, there's a safety in it, right? And especially when i think about writing with a young women who are trying to think through really complicated emotions of even love or desire. When we go and critique the writing, it's always positive. But we talk about a the speaker in the poem or the speaker, and the piece of writing a to give that person a little bit of distance between them themselves being the author. That's so beautiful. It's almost like your creating again.
