Climate Change - Are We Reliant on Tropical Forests?

Trees that die younger, getting replaced quickly by new trees. Loss of carbon related to mortality is much larger than the gains gacious why we don't have a proper offset through tree mortality. If this pattern is common across the global tropics then forecasts of future temperatures may be underestimated and tropical forests may soon become carbon sources.
