The Problem of Rationalism and Democracy

I think that many people don't do a whole lot of research on the candidates. A lot of people actually choose based on what their social circle is thinking about or, you know, what's going to look good to their friends. And so that is a big problem in a democracy. I'm really curious about the different forms of government relationship to the real rule of the Mandarin class. So we have Biden, for example, who is a Democratic representative but obviously he doesn't actually rule. There is either a Mandarin class or a political crony class that's ruling right now. We don't see them and yet that they're ruling. Similarly with a monarchy.
