My reference point are the 80s and the 90s, and it was usually long running seasons that had 32 episodes. So friends, even though I never watched friends, and my beloved Beverly Hills 90210, those shows would line it up so the holiday episode would happen a week before. On the holiday? Well, a week before, because usually new episodes wouldn't air on ... Oh, because everyone's on break. It's like a repeat. A rerun. Do people say that anymore? It's vintage.
