In many markets we see a lot of smaller platforms existing and persisting despite competition from a dom form a larger global player. What matters is not the size of your global network effects like if you are an app store then it absolutely global network effects matter. And as in general, people have for a long time emphasize the Shumpeterian view and emphasize the fact that we don't need to worry too much about one market domination by a handful of companies.
