"This movie really affected me in a real way and I didn't know what to expect," says director Truffaut. "Truffaut himself was a big champion of our American directors that we like a lot of Hitchcock of Hawks." In America, you call this man, Hitch, in France. We call him Moshe Richcock. You respect him because he shoots scenes of love as if they were a sense of murder. He's one of the people who winds up elevating Hitchcock abroad and then we start respecting him more back here at home.
