The Desecration of George Parrot
George Parrot was strangled to death by a lynch mob in Wyoming. Two doctors then took possession of his body and dismembered him. They used the top section of his skull as an ash tray, pen holder or doorstop. The skin from George's thighs were also made into shoes for John Osborne who wore them at his inaugural ball. In 1950 construction workers unearthed a whiskey barrel filled with bones while working on the Rollins National Bank. Inside the barrel was a skull with the tops on off, as well as the shoes said to have been made from George's thigh flesh.
