Milton's Prolusion

At one point in this Mary performance, Milton refers to an earlier oration which he had thought would provoke his fellow students to dislike him. He there insults anyone who would oppose him in this kind of exercise without the proper learning since they soon run out of things to say as dumb as the frogs of Seraphus. It's sort of like high level trash talk. And he thrived on being attacked, which is an interesting personality trait elsewhere.
