The Cost of a Pension Scheme

In America, the 401 K type plan only came into existence really in the 1980s. The legislation allowing for them was created in the 70s but the plans didn't take off until the late 1980s. And what we found is that they've done extremely much worse than they had been told. There are reasons to be concerned about both types of plans there are risks that are not well understood. In the 401 K or defined contribution plan, the company may have to match. One of them have cost, the pension true pension plan is much costlier to the corporation,. But there are costs in both.
