The Rise of Cyberpunk in the 80s

Deep Purple was a huge inspiration for the start of the metal movement. Bruce Sterling is also kind of one of the Godfathers of it. I would make the argument that Philip K. Dick and his old, what does it mean to be human and sort of stuff was one of these presageings of what became cyberpunk in the 80s. Where's the line between reality and virtual reality? When does artificial intelligence become actual intelligence? And those are questions that cyberpunk is deeply concerned with.
