Is the Pay Review Board Fit for Purpose?

I've never really been somebody who was in politics that felt there was merit in not having a relationship when it was there. I certainly never wanted to be in a situation where I had a conflict with the unions because we simply haven't understood one another. So, I think right now the priority is probably to at least agree a process by which you could start to find a solution. The pay review board process is fit for purpose actually. But this isn't a normal year. It's exceptional to have inflation running away. And so there is a genuine question about how we make sure teaching and the pain reward structure are dealt with.
