I was a huge John Stewart fan. I was influenced by him and that was the closest way we could do it. We'd shoot them together. He would direct and I would write and Fahim would sometimes do, you know, punch up and help me make it funnier. And those first times it went viral was really kind of these really cool moments of, Oh, we could just shoot this in our budgets like 200 bucks and it reaches so many people. Even if it got 200,000 views or 300,000 views, it was this really empowering feeling of like, man, it's resonating. Emotional resonance is what I was chasing at that time.
