Constantine the 11th Dies on the Walls
Constantine the 11th died fighting on the walls of Constantinople. He was wounded badly but his spirit fails him and he demands to be carried into the city proper through the inner walls. The Ottomans have found a sally gate which they're coming through because they haven't managed to close it properly. His reputation was one of the great heroes of the defense albeit ill-fated defensive concept would have been assured.
