The Future of Battery Manufacturing in the US
Most of the energy transition hinges upon batteries as we exponentially ramp up our reliance on green deck. As it stands today, China really does control the vast majority of the battery industry. Battery companies that start up elsewhere often find themselves undercut by the Chinese and go out of business. But I think I'm getting more optimistic because the US has launched this inflation reduction act which is a huge piece of industrial policy. And once you unleash the potential of the US, you give a clear policy signal. Then I think we're going to see a lot of battery manufacturing constructed in the US.
