The Sleep Benefits of Working Out in the Night

If you exercise either in the evening or in the morning, you get this nice benefit of spending less time in those shallow waters of non-REM sleep. But here again, I want to be absolutely, resolutely and affirmatively clear. I am not telling you not to exercise in the middle of the day. You absolutely can. And you should, if you want, you still get plenty of nice sleep benefits.
