How to Gain Muscle Even in a Deficit

You can gain muscle even in a slight deficit. The question is whether you can gain muscle at a rate at which you're able to observe or measure an effort, manage and stay motivated for. And the our ability to do that diminishes with mainly training experience and then age. So it's best for you to prioritize either losing weight or gaining weight rather than trying this middle ground and achieving not a lot of either of those.
