The Uncomfortable Reminder of the Environment
A final thing related to waste that I found really interesting is the concept of packaging. Even my most laid back informants became very passionate and very angry talking about packaging, in particular packaging from Amazon orders. And kind of the ways that that packaging accumulates very quickly in a busy household with kids. So I think when they see this packaging accumulating in their home, it reminds them that there kind of is no perfectly environmental choice.
