The markets had tanked for the last several days, also on anticipation of this very same hike. So it was a by the rumor, sell the fact, except they bought the fact before the fact became a reality. We saw a decisive move down in the dollar following powell's press conference. And i think that was interpreted correctly as a dovish tilt to this supposedly hawkish hike.
