The Lord Meeting the Son of Zipporah

Zipporah took a flint and cut off her son's foreskin. She touched his feet with it and said, surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me. So the Lord met him and sought to put him to death. It could be his feet meaning the boy's feet. Some scholars have suggested that this was perhaps a phrase that was used with reference to bringing someone into the covenant. And I think at the least what this is indicating is that as Moses goes back into Israel to bring Israel out of Egypt in a sort of initial fulfillment of the terms of the Abrahamicvenants.
