Well, first of all, your identity is a negotiation between who you think you are and what social institutions and other people reflect back at you and tell you you are a. In france, where i lie, race is a really fungable thing. That doesn't make that a real identity for me. I think you shouldn't define yourself by if society has a flawed way of thinking... Race is a social construct, and it's a real social reality
