The History of Clowns

Traditions of clowning go way back. There were clowns in ancient greece that dressed in animal skins and were sort of like street performers. In the late 17 hundreds, there was a guy named joseph grimaldi who created the make up and the humor style that we associate with modern clowns. He had this tortured relationship with both his father and his own son.
