David Dimbleby was like a 1970s school teacher who smoked in the classroom and let the kids call him by his first name compared to Robin Day. He used to make very few interventions, but when he did make an intervention, it was an intervention on fact. It actually shut people up who were trying to get away with telling a porque. If you saw him now, you'd think this guy's come straight from CPAC. But he was fantastic and also terrifying. And key politicians would, would, would cower.
