The Book of Psalms Is a Prayer Book

The book of Psalms was the prayer book of Judaism in Jesus' day. It's actually only in recent centuries that the book has had a much lower role to play in Christian worship gatherings and so on. And I think what Jesus was doing was what all Jews did when they prayed and it was a form of prayerful meditation on the scriptures themselves.
